The Port of Portland's Social and Environmental Equity Community (SEEC) resource group just launched a clothing drive to support Cultivate Initiatives, a nonprofit dedicated to uplifting marginalized communities in East Portland.

Inspired by their recent reading of "Rough Sleepers," by Tracy Kidder, SEEC wanted to recognize the power of compassion and support in building safe, opportunity-filled neighborhoods. Together, we can empower individuals through essential resources and inclusive services. Let's make a difference – your contributions matter!

Collection Locations:

• HQ 1st Floor by the Anchor Conference Room
• HQ Atrium
• RCC 4th Floor (near elevators / Security Badging)
• Portland Airport Fire and Rescue
• Marine/T6
• Navigation Office

Most needed items:

• new, unopened underwear (all sizes/genders)
• new or gently used men's pants
• new or gently used shoes and socks
• new or gently used coats and hoodies
• new or gently used sleeping bags, tents, tarps, canopies

Also accepting:

• new, unopened hygiene supplies, including body wipes, deodorant, hand
• sanitizer, period products, travel-size soap and shampoo, and shaving supplies
• new, unopened cold weather supplies including hand-warmers, hats,
• gloves and scarves
• new or gently used towels
• new or gently used woman's pants or leggings
