Celebrate Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month in May!
In partnership with PDXPeople, the API ERG brings Uluwehi Hālau Hula O Kapukui back to PDX for a hula performance and lei making workshop. Join us as we honor the rich heritage and cultural contributions of the Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities during AANHPI Heritage Month with an immersive experience filled with traditional performances, interactive workshops, and opportunities to connect with diverse cultures.
Highlights include:
- Hula Dancing Performances: The graceful movements and rhythmic beats of traditional hula is a sacred form of communicating, storytelling, and offering of tribute. Transport yourself to the enchanting islands of Hawaii through this captivating display of cultural expression.
